Phatwater Veteran Doctor Andy Bonwit will be the featured entertainment for this year’s Phatwater Kayak Challenge, October 10, 2009, at the Under-The-Hill Saloon, following Phatwater VIII. He will be performing several “songs”, in a tribute to Little Feat, along with the band, Barefoot Tendencies, featuring the masterful Julie St. Ripling on lead vocals, and Scott Nisula on Strat. Rumor has it that Al Teregeaux may also make a cameo for the event. There is no additional charge for the show, but Doctor Bonwit, a pediatrician, who is also a skydiver (I always thought the term should be ‘Earth Diver’), is hoping to purchase a new custom canopy, complete with our Catfish logo, so donations are encouraged. You may also make a donation to discourage him from singing.
